I presented a paper on Japanese New Religious Movements at RKS 2026.

I am delighted to have participated in the 12th International Seminar on Religion, Knowledge, Society (RKS 2026), held in Suceava, Romania, between 24–28 May 2026.

During the seminar, I presented my paper entitled “State Shinto and Japanese New Religious Movements Between the Sacralization of Politics and the Secularization of Religion.” The presentation examined the interaction between religion and politics in modern Japan through a comparative analysis of State Shinto and Japanese New Religious Movements, contributing to broader discussions on the sacralization of politics and the secularization of religion.

Beyond the academic sessions, the seminar offered a valuable opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions with colleagues from different countries and disciplines. The exchange of ideas, perspectives, and experiences once again demonstrated the importance of international scholarly cooperation in the study of religion.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the organizers and participants for their warm hospitality, intellectual generosity, and collegial atmosphere. Experiencing the rich historical and cultural heritage of Bucovina alongside such stimulating academic conversations made this event especially memorable.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making RKS 2026 both an enriching academic gathering and a remarkable cultural experience.
