About Me
Hello, I’m Dr. Yetkin Karaoğlu, an academic specializing in the History of Religions. My research focuses particularly on Japanese religions, new religious movements, and comparative religion. In this blog, alongside my academic work, I share notes and reflections from my travels, readings, and encounters with different cultures.
Education
I completed my bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral studies in the field of History of Religions. Throughout my academic career, I have focused particularly on Japanese religious traditions, Shinto, and new religious movements. I continue to conduct research in these areas and regularly participate in international academic conferences and events.
Employment
I am a faculty member in the Department of History of Religions at the Faculty of Theology, Ordu University. Alongside my research and publication activities, I teach courses on Japanese religions, new religious movements, and comparative religion. My academic work focuses on understanding the interactions between religion, culture, and society.
